The ARC (Autism Resource Centre)

Lincroft Academy Autism Resource Centre (ARC) is a mainstream autism provision situated at the heart of Lincroft Academy. Students with placements within the ARC must have an Education Health Care Plan stating Autism as the primary need. Lincroft Academy ARC has 32 places and each placement is agreed with Bedford Borough SEND Team and endorsed by the ASAT team.

Lincroft Academy is an inclusive school, and Lincroft ARC aims to integrate students into our school community, using the expertise of trained and experienced staff.

Lincroft Academy Autism Resource Centre is designed around the TEACCH methodology, however multiple strategies and approaches are used when structuring the learning environment for our students.

Our goal is to be ambitious for our students and to open as many opportunities as possible, whilst understanding the challenges that our students face daily. We pride ourselves on our communication with families and believe that a partnership approach is essential when considering the needs of our students.
